Protean Electric attends The Paris Motor Show’s 90th anniversary, with sister company BEDEO
The Paris Motor Show, better known as Mondial de l’Auto, held its 90th event over the 14th – 20th October 2024. The show has been occurring every two years for 126 years and is well known in the industry for being the place where brands reveal new automotive concepts and technologies to the public.
Sharing in the celebrations of Mondial de l’Autos 90th anniversary, Protean showcased a cut away model of their in-wheel motor technology. The IWMs are packaged into BEDEOs catalogue of newly manufactured and retrofitted electric range-extended vehicles and provide benefits to the platform like increased efficiency, torque and regenerative braking.
In recent months, BEDEO has announced not only the European debut of their proven Reborn Electric retrofit systems for large vans – the RE-100 – but also their partnership with Dangel, who will manufacture and distribute across France.
It was great to see other companies displaying IWM technology, highlighting how interest in the market is picking up. Other mentionable exhibitors include Alpine with their show car A390_ß, prototype Alpenglow Hy6 and A290, and Renault with their demo car Emblème, 4 E-Tech Electric and 5 and E-Tech Electric.
